Rules & Regulations


Dear Customers:
Thank you for choosing Lexmark printers.  Lexmark not only provide products of highest quality, but also is committed to comprehensive warranty services and coverage.  When our services are required, simply present your warranty form to any customers service centers authorized by Lexmark, we will offer standard, superior, and effective services from our service network.  Please retain your warranty form with care, as it is required for any covered repairs and maintenance provided by our warranty.

1) This limited warranty applies to brand-new Lexmark products sold by Lexmark retailers and agents in greater China area, only if they were originally purchased for your use, and not for resale.

2) Lexmark warrant the products, during normal use, are free from defects in material and workmanship.  The warranty period is for 12 month, starts on the date of original purchase.  Should it deviates from warranty details specified by the Statement Of Limited Warranty in the user's guide for the specific product model in question, please refer to the details in the Statement.  During warranted period, services and parts under coverage are provided free of any charges.  The limited warranty does not include printers' outer cover, accessories, nor replenishing supplies (ink, inkjet cartridge, photo developer, transfer belt unit, fuser units, etc.)

3) To obtain warranty service, you may be required to present the original warranty form and official proof of purchase to service centers authorized by Lexmark.

4) Warranty services do not cover, or cannot be provided for the followings: 1. damages caused by accidents or natural disasters such as fire, earthquake, or misplacement; 2. damages caused by usage inconsistent with Lexmark user's guides, manuals, instructions, or unsuitable physical or operating environment; 3. damages caused by maintenance and repair by anyone other than Lexmark or a Lexmark authorized service; 4. damages caused by inappropriate transportation after purchase; 5. damages caused by use of toners and inks not furnished by Lexmark; 6. unable to present valid warranty form, or warranty statement details are modified or inconsistent with the product in question; 7. routine maintenance, cleaning; 8. operation of a product beyond the limit of its duty cycle; 9. products, supplies, parts, materials, software, or interfaces not furnished by Lexmark; 10. products obtained through abnormal sales transaction.

5) Lexmark has the right to retain parts removed or replaced from repair services; the replacement item assumes the remaining warranty period of the original product.

6) During warranty period, limited at-your-door services are offered to certain models.  Free on-site repair services are available for customers locating within 50Km of Lexmark service centers.  Pickup services are offered in certain cities for specific model of inkjet and laser printers.  For latest information, please visit Lexmark Chinese Website www.lexmark.com.cn.  You can also use service hotline 400-811-0055, 8008100595 to obtain technical supports as well as above mentioned services.

7) For defected hardware shipped to service centers for necessary repairs, please inform recipient prior to shipment.  Lexmark will assume transportation fare for returning trip; customers will assume insurance and any other costs incurred.

8) Lexmark's liability for product quality and warranty will be limited to the extent which is required by law or otherwise specified in the warranty statement.  Please note that any Lexmark Retailers do not have the right to extend nor modify rules and regulations under warrant policy.  Lexmark's liability to any product quality and warranty is limited to warrant period coverage specified in the warranty statement.

9) Your sole remedy under this limited warranty is set forth in this warranty form. For any claim concerning performance or nonperformance of Lexmark or a distributor for this product under this limited warranty, you may recover actual damages up to the limit set forth in the following paragraph.  Lexmark's liability for actual damages from any cause whatsoever will be limited to the amount you paid for the product that caused the damages. This limitation of liability will not apply to claims by you for bodily injury or damage to real property or tangible personal property for which Lexmark is legally liable.  In no event will Lexmark be liable for any lost profits, lost costs, incidental damage or other economic or consequential damages. This is true even if you advise Lexmark or a Retailers of the possibility of such damages. Lexmark is not liable for any claim by you based on a third party claim.  This limitation of remedies also applies to claims against any Suppliers and Retailers of Lexmark. Lexmark's and its Suppliers' and Retailers' limitations of remedies are not cumulative. Such Suppliers and Retailers are intended beneficiaries of this limitation.
